Hey Doll,

We all know how easy it is to point out flaws, replay offenses, or even expose the weaknesses of others. But in 1 Peter 4:8, Peter gives us a higher call:

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”

Covering doesn’t mean pretending sin isn’t real. It doesn’t mean ignoring wrong or excusing behavior. To cover is to protect — to keep offense from spreading and to guard a heart long enough for God to bring healing.

By contrast, exposing magnifies the failure, making it a spectacle. Love doesn’t do that. Love covers.

This week’s devotional at The Pollination Place unpacks what it means to love with a covering kind of love — one that protects dignity, preserves unity, and reflects the same grace God has shown to us.

Golden Grain: Love doesn’t cover to excuse sin — it covers to protect hearts and preserve unity.

Praying you’ll feel God’s covering love today — and reflect it in the way you love others.

With grace,
